Who is the ‘Train the coach’ workshop for?

This workshop is for organisations who intend to equip their own existing staff to deliver 360 feedback coaching for their participants.

The workshop builds on and enhances existing coaching skills. It provides the additional knowledge, understanding and experience needed to ensure 360 feedback sessions and development conversations are purposeful, consistent, and professionally conducted.

To achieve this, they partnered with Lumus360 to deliver a bespoke 360 feedback training programme.

Challenges and Requirements

With a growing focus on leadership development, Nomad Foods recognised the value of 360 feedback and that it was far more likely to be successful if they had a process for supporting participants to turn their 360 reports into a development plan and then have a monitoring mechanism to ensure good intentions convert into real development.

Nomad wanted 360 training that would develop its HR BP’s team to lead feedback sessions with confidence, professionalism and consistency.

The 360 Training Solution:

As the first stage of the 360 training programme, all HR BP’s completed their own 360 feedback exercise and received 360 coaching from a Lumus360 coach. This allowed them to experience first-hand the logical and emotional journeys of receiving 360 feedback. This proved a valuable start point for the next stage.

Lumus360 then delivered a Train the 360 Coach workshop tailored to the needs and experience levels of the HR team. This structured 360 training solution:

  • Refreshed and deepened core coaching skills
  • Explored the unique dynamics of 360 feedback coaching and how it differs from general coaching
  • Taught participants how to interpret 360 feedback reports and draw clear and balanced insights
  • Provided practical strategies to help individuals convert feedback into focused development plans
  • Equipped attendees with a clear coaching framework and personalised blueprint for success

Designed as an engaging and hands on 360 training experience, the workshop included interactive activities, real life scenarios and opportunities for peer learning.

Once each HR BP had gained some practical 360 feedback coaching experience, we brought the group came back together for a follow up session. This reflective workshop created space to share experiences, explore what worked well, discuss challenges and collectively learn from one another’s real-world coaching practice. This final step strengthened capability, reinforced confidence and ensured consistent delivery of 360 feedback coaching across the organisation.

Outcomes of the 360 Training Programme

The 360 training programme enabled Nomad’s HR BPs to deliver 360 feedback coaching with confidence, consistency and professionalism. As a result of the training:

  • HR BPs were well equipped to guide participants through their 360 reports and support them in identifying clear development priorities and actions
  • Participants benefited from a consistent experience regardless of which HR BP conducted their session
